We have adopted the 4-4-0 class steam locomotive as
our mascot. We feel that
this locomotive and railroad best represent an image of the history of
the United State during the 19th century.
A replica 4-4-0 locomotive is under construction
and should be ready to lead a nation-wide celebration in 2009. It will be a self-propelled vehicle that is D.O.T
certified to operate on the highway. Additional units are being planned for
future celebrations. You may see our progress at the Museum & Archive.

This is an example of a 4-4-0 locomotive. Our locomotive will
be 12.5 feet high, 8 feet wide and 30 feet long. The combined length with it's
supporting Tender car will be almost 60 feet. It will be able to carry 40 to 60
passengers during the parade which will take 3 days to complete. Our goal
is to have a celebration and parade at each county.
